Sweet! TechCrunch aquires FuckedCompany.com

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

TechCrunch has now aquired FuckedCompany.com. Very interesting. I’m a day late and dollar short, but I figured I needed to catch up now. The Saturday down time is over, and hopefully this isn’t a regular deal, but you never can tell.

Currently, the last of my hardware upgrades is starting to my left. The Ubuntu install on my fileserver. I will start to catch up now. What a great start to the catch up!

Afternoon Delight Round Up: Friday 3/30/2007

Friday, March 30th, 2007

Feedily - This is a hypothetical Web 2.0 start up story; could use an angel investor or VC look.

CenterNetworks Video Review - Allen does the Washington Post this time; yesterday, in case you missed it, he did a follow on video review of the Kontrib article that was on VentureBeat.

Nokia Coffin - Caption contest by Engadget.

Confused about Project Agape? - I think this is a better explanation; * full disclosure - yes, I also write for VentureBeat, but this is my honest opinion - this is better then what I read this morning; a lot more in depth.

Pathetic Attempts - To grab some Web 2.0 love. This is not going to cut it folks.

AppleTV - Just might have to look into this further as I do live in the city of the defending Word Champion St. Louis Cardinals! :)

Technically Speaking, it’s Friday - get out and have a blast!

Miss your MTV? How about your Statsaholic?

Friday, March 30th, 2007

I think it’s a shame and a black eye on Amazon to be pulling such a bully stunt. It would be quite different if they would have yelled and screamed from the get go, but letting this go for as long as it was alive; well this is just plain stupid.

I see nothing wrong with what they were doing. They were providing a great service. If Amazon is in the mode of shutting it all down, then they may possibly want to look at how bad of service Alexa really is. That is the issue here. It’s not that Alexa(Stats)aholic was doing anything wrong. It’s that they did it BETTER.

Technically Speaking, it’s more about jealousy then anything else.

OurChart is LIVE today

Friday, March 30th, 2007

ourchart.pngOurChart.com, is a new social network that is based around the Showtime Original series called L Word. The actual design and concept of the social network is quite unique from what I saw in the early beta versions. This social network is completely supported by Showtime, and they have already had videocast interviews with the stars of the show.

Technically Speaking, a new twist on the social networking game by involving a television show series and working the whole aspect around it. The have now gone Live and World Wide starting today.
