New Mac ad

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

About the only thing that is interesting this morning, unless you are in the EU and are buying an unlocked iPhone. Thankfully (it’s early, but tomorrow is Thanksgiving!) I work with some smart dudes who converted me over to a Mac. The switch was painless, and OS X is hands down a much better OS than Vista!

Technically Speaking, if you get the chance this holiday season, switch to a Mac and consider some of the new features and referral program available with Lending Club’s p2p lending!

Crossover for Mac, IE 6 on a Mac!

Sunday, November 11th, 2007

crossover-logo.pngCrossover, is a piece of software for the Mac that makes using IE 6 a breeze. I was out searching for a way to emulate or install IE 6 on a Mac this morning. After countless searches, I ran across this piece of software that simplifies the process.

There are many articles that you can find online which describe the ways to install IE 6 on a Mac. All are quite labor intensive, and something you don’t want to do just to test sites out. IE 6 is unfortunately still everywhere in the world.

Why? I really can’t answer that question. Why would you use IE 6 when if you are a diehard Microsoft person, you should have switched to IE 7 by now.

Furthermore, I wouldn’t use IE anyways, because I think the browser is terrible. My browser of choice is Firefox, but nevertheless, there are people (a huge majority) that uses IE 6 still. When you are on a Macbook like I am, and quite happy I have switched, it’s really hard to test orinstall PC products.

Technically Speaking, it is officially Veterans day, so if you need some inspiration you may want to read this. family life insurance

Justin.tv or Ustream.tv?

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

I just switched to Justin.tv this morning. Not that I broadcast regularly (I am right now), I made the switch because of the fact that Ustream.tv wouldn’t pick up my Macbook built in web cam.

While both services seem neck and neck for customers or users, they should support all platforms. Now I only changed things around because of some of the really cool things that will be coming out via Lookery very very soon. I of course have a rex.tv page and that is the reason. There are things I didn’t realize, but now I do! Read more about Lookery on the blog.

Now one thing that I’m not sure of, and it could be set this way so you don’t overload your router, but I don’t hear any audio via Justin.tv. I guess if you view it, let me know if you hear audio. I’m playing tunes currently on my iTunes.

Technically Speaking, just something fun to do. bathroom lights
