kyte.tv… what else?

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

No less then four major blogs are covering Kyte.tv this morning. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were 1000 or more articles you will find on kyte.tv by 9 or 10 am this morning. Let’s simplify it.

Mashable says

Slightly similar to Splashcast, Kyte enables you to display photos, videos, music, and even polls created directly in your show.

TechCrunch chimes in with

The service is extremely flexible in its approach to getting content into and out of the service. Users can access their account and add content from their (java enabled) mobile phone, the browser or via email. Viewers can interact with content on the Kyte website, their phone and other websites where users embed content via a widget player.

VentureBeat adds

You can host your photos, slide-shows, videos all in one place — the Kyte channel — and lets you post the channel player anywhere you want.

Webware pretty much wraps it up with

is a new service that lets people create their own TV channel. It’s a bit of a mashup between a live blogging tool, a social network, and some of the live internet TV channels we’ve been seeing lately

and further adds

instead of strapping a camera to your head, you can use a cell phone.

The mobile client is a small Java application for several Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones that allows Kyte.tv users to upload photos and chat with others in a Kyte.tv channel. The mobile live blogging component is called ‘Lifecasting’ which lets users upload pictures from their camera phone in real time.

Technically Speaking, another company that is receiving a lot of hype. Nice PR machine in action. The only advantage I can see so far is the whole mobile idea. If you can afford a Nokia N95, or similar device, that would be one way to have your videos transferred instantly online. Other then that, I think SplashCast has pretty much nailed this end of the market. The market is big enough for a few players. We shall see in a few months which ones are still standing.

Wrap N’ Roll: Tuesday 4/10/2007

Tuesday, April 10th, 2007

A little bit late with this as I had to fight some disappearing icons and logos today.

Under Statement - Yes, it’s Tuesday, and like every Tuesday - news will be splashing across the internet.

BrowserOS - WebOS, WebTop, BrowserOS - it’s all just a name, and I have talked about most of these companies. If you search for any one of them here on this blog, you will find something that I have said about them.

Joost - Appears to be getting some nice deals done! YouTube should watch how business is really run. Mainly, how to play fair in the sandbox!

Sell your Web2.0 site - When you are ready to sell it, Steve Poland has a new place besides the jungle of eBay to do that.

MySpace store - Just watch for the pick pockets and the shoplifters!

Maxthon browser - Yes, something Chinese comes your way. Google takes part ownership.

Nokia N95 - The complete review - if you can afford one!

MySpace Trailer Park - Where I live, Trailer Park is usually followed by the word “trash“.

Technically Speaking, that pretty much covers the last 8 hours of news; as Scoble says - should be a “wave” coming in today!

Nokia N95, Good luck on this one…

Sunday, April 8th, 2007

Nokia N95 - If you have a grand to spare, this looks to be a cool phone to have. I think that is a tad bit much for a cool gadget.

Get With It - Get with the program. This is exactly what I was talking about a few days (weeks?) ago when I was saying that the old world people need to get with the program. Times are changing and you need to adjust your thinking. You can stay in the old world mentality and as far as I’m concerned, we will all wave at you from the top of the rock.

Technically Speaking, if you celebrate it - Happy Easter!

Nokia N95 phone

Sunday, March 18th, 2007

This phone must totally rock hard -= Nokia N95 =- I mean if you can shoot an entire video on it, and watch it also - that just rocks. I did see where some musician filmed an entire music video on the phone. Where can I get a free one? I tried to get Nokia as a sponsor at one point in time; yeah - turned down flat. I was just wanting that other smart phone then, but this one seriously rocks. I’ll take one of these over any smart phone that hangs off people’s belts like a deck of cards

Technically Speaking, the Nokia N95 is one rocking phone. I don’t even have one, and I can still say it rocks right?
