ImLive announces $125 per new user affiliate program

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

imlive.pngImLive.com, a well established and successful webcam chat site, has an incredibly sophisticated affiliate program and offers endless incentives to those who would be willing to promote the site on the web. This month for example, ImLive is paying affiliates $125 for each new sign up they generate.

ImLive.com was founded in 2002 and is today the leading webcam chat arena on the internet. ImLive serves as an online community to thousands of affiliates, over 18,000 thousand expert hosts and 10 million members from all around the globe. Membership is free to all, over the age of 18 years and is extremely user friendly.

Technically Speaking, if this affiliate program is all that it is cracked up to be, $125 is a good way to start laddering your way to a short term savings plan. Most affiliate programs are hard to make any money, but this one seems to be looking for new users so at $125 a new user, it might be worth a look.

Blast that Next Home Invasion…

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

Now this is something that I could see messing around with. Just for fun of course, as we live in a relatively safe area of STL. For added protection, this BB Gun remote control device would be the ticket.

I’m sure I would mainly be shooting at the over population of stray cats in the neighborhood. It would be quite amusing though if I had this a few years ago when someone took the liberty of taking some toilet paper to my trees. Just think of the fun I could have!

I’m sure it might be a safer option to make it a paint gun mounted there, as a BB or pellet could be quite dangerous. I am wondering if there is some sort of transfer tank to load up the BB’s for automatic mode? I’m sure some of you have gone to the county fair before and tried shooting out the star to win a prize. 200 rounds of BB’s go awfully fast.

Technically Speaking, watch the video!

Bubble Guru

bubble-guru-beta.jpgBubble Guru, is a site leveraging the popularity of the video instant contact phase that we live in today. It actually is a pretty good idea. By going there, and going to the bottom of the page, you can see how your site would look with the bubble.

I can see this being used by sales sites mainly, but also sites that are promoting events that are upcoming. The video is recorded on your end via your webcam. You only put a javascript on your site to have the bubble appear on your site. Any market research you may do will find that video online is the best way to attract new customers.

I was going to demo this, and even signed up for their currently free accounts during their beta (they will be charging for this once out of beta). I then realized that my webcam is currently connected to rex.tv and it’s so old anyways; it has no sound. So what should I do? Well this site is smart enough to figure out that many of us have out dated webcams, and have leveraged that by selling webcams right their on site.

Technically Speaking, if they can gain some traction online, this could be a very useful tool for sites that have immediate release information. Sure beats typing all the time!
