DEMOfall, Your Truman Show shows up with VideoMap™

Monday, September 24th, 2007

your-truman-show-logo1.GIFYour Truman Show, Inc., the video blogging company, today introduced the VideoMap™ Widget, which allows online video producers and fans to share content across popular social networks wherever it resides on the Internet, from inside the embeddable widget.

VideoMap™ can be placed and accessed by anyone on the Internet, in Facebook, YouTube, MySpace, YourTrumanShow or any other site. Its unique, key component is a graphical video relationship map, which, according to YourTrumanShow’s Founder & Chairman Arturo Artom, “Lets you see who links to you and who you link to as well as the video content you have both collected and may wish to share. VideoMap™ let’s you go from topic to topic and from life to life.”

VideoMap™ lets users open the widget and see themselves in the center of the map, then they can opt from two views. In the first, they are the hub and can see their connections to friends across the Web. In a tray below them, they see their own collection of clips from anywhere on the Internet. When the user clicks on a friend, that friend’s collection appears in the tray.

UStream.tv will inspire more people…

Monday, April 16th, 2007

To waste more of the bandwidth that is out there. I am one of those people. I set up rex.tv, just because every now and again I get bored typing about technology. I want to try it out. I first attempted the whole web-jennicam thing. That didn’t go over well. The program I had crashed a lot on the ftp transfers.

I let rex.tv sit there for a bit, as I had other things to do then write an external ftp shell script. Now I had already heard about UStream.tv, as many others also have. Stories are still popping up on blogs about them. The news is old, as old as Justin.tv is.

The interesting thing is that in the above blog article link there was another site. This site was appropriately named Your Truman Show dot com. It’s not open yet, but it will be in a few weeks (May 2007). Keep an eye on that place. I’m sure there will be some dot tv type of streaming available to it’s users.

Technically Speaking, I just went over to rex.tv and saw there were 3 viewers. That means 2 people were watching me type! Now I just flashed them the hook ‘em horns; long live rock n’ roll sign. Fun stuff right? No sound folks, sorry. Best place to chat with me is on the regular chat. I have the IRC channel, but I have to move IRC to this laptop to be more effective.
